World Congress in Fetal Medicine
Each year the FMF organises a World Congress in which leading international experts and young researchers present and discuss the latest developments in fetal medicine.
The World Congress is designed both for those specializing in fetal medicine and those with a more general clinical interest who want to be updated on developments in the field, as well as all those involved in the care of pregnant women and their babies.
The two main themes in this year's congress will be fetal therapy and first trimester diagnosis. The first two days will be held together with Eurofoetus, which includes the leading international experts on fetal therapy and surgery, and will address the latest developments and controversies on fetal surgery for conditions such as twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, diaphragmatic hernia, cardiac defects, obstructive uropathy and spina bifida. In the second part we will be discussing the emerging evidence on early screening and diagnosis of fetal abnormalities and all major pregnancy complications.
